Case Volume

Projected case volume is an important part of estimating a center's success. For example, in a single-specialty center focused on interventional pain medicine, a minimum of 2,000 cases a year is typically required. However, payer mix and procedural mix can both significantly affect this requirement. That's why combining your case volume with other providers in town, even if they're currently your competitors, can often times be a sensible and profitable strategy.
